Denise Fischer Commented on:
Inconvenient Compassion
Message: I love this article and especially the title, "Inconvenient Compassion." The author, Kelsee Fischer, hits the nail on the head in giving examples of how Jesus loves individually and corporately when is is inconvenient. With the feeding of the five thousands, Jesus and his disciples were probably exhausted after a long day; that's why one of the disciples suggested that the crowd leave because it was getting dark and they were hungry. But Jesus met their needs anyway by using what little was given to him and fed the 5,000 plus. In the second miracle, Jesus was on His way to minister to a girl who had died when the woman with an issue of blood touches Him. Talk about inconvenience, the crowd believed if He touched her, He would be deemed unclean. He wouldn't have had time to cleanse Himself, but Jesus calls her daughter after she touches His hem and she is made clean! I'm sure as I read the scripture I will find many more instances of "inconvenient compassion". The author has given me something to pause and reflect on for my own life. I, too, want to show "inconvenient compassion" to my family and friends. Thank you!

MESSAGE
I'm 70 years old and retired and have lived a good life in regards to pursuing my dreams and goals. Yet, when I read this article by Kelsee, I was challenged to continue to pursue my dreams even at my age. I like to teach soul line dancing and have been thinking about working to attain Silver Sneakers certification but kept putting it off. When Kelsee spoke about taking steps toward achieving ones goal, I thought to myself, This is doable, one step at a time." So I"m going to make time to work at obtaining certification, step by step, with God's help! Thanks, Kelsee!
